// installation

Install Narya Command™

Windows desktop app with the CygNet connector, WAIS site memory, Skills, and governed write safety. Follow these steps for a clean beta install.

// prerequisites

Before you begin

  • Windows

    Windows 10, Windows 11, or Windows Server 2016 or newer (64-bit).

  • CygNet SCADA client

    CygNet client software installed on the same machine as Narya Command™ (for CygNet connector features).

  • CygNet ODBC (64-bit)

    64-bit CygNet ODBC driver installed and configured for your environment.

  • Network

    Outbound HTTPS to validate your license with naryacommand.com. The app caches a successful check for 24 hours if the service is temporarily unreachable.

  • License key

    An NRYA-format key from your Narya account (beta uses the free tier on the download page).

Installer filename is typically NaryaCommand-{version}-Setup.exe.

// steps

01

Download the installer and license

Sign in on the download page and generate your beta license, then download the Windows setup package or ZIP fallback.

Open naryacommand.com/download → sign in → Generate beta license & download.
Your key looks like NRYA-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. Keep it somewhere safe. If the EXE is quarantined by antivirus or email/security scanning, download the ZIP package instead.
02

Run the installer

Launch the setup executable and complete the installation wizard.

Close other CygNet-heavy apps if prompted. Install for the Windows user who will run Narya Command™ day to day. If you used the ZIP fallback, extract it first and then run the included installer.
03

Activate your license

When the app first starts, enter your NRYA license key.

The app contacts naryacommand.com to validate the key and bind it to this workstation. If you are offline, validation may use a previously cached result for up to 24 hours.
04

Confirm CygNet and ODBC

Verify you can reach CygNet from this machine the same way you would for Studio or other tools.

Use CygNet Studio or your usual ODBC test to confirm connectivity before relying on Narya Command™ for production changes.
05

Optional: API key (beta)

During beta, an Anthropic API key may be provisioned for you; you can override it in app Settings if required.

If your organization requires a specific Claude API key, enter it in Settings. User-supplied keys take priority over the bundled beta configuration when both are present.
06

Verify the install

Ask a read-only question or run a safe preview workflow to confirm tools and CygNet access.

Example: describe a device you know exists and ask to list its facilities. Prefer preview-only operations until you are comfortable with write safety (preview → confirm → rollback).

// offline & air-gapped

Restricted networks

If this workstation cannot reach naryacommand.com for validation, use the offline license tool after obtaining your key from a connected browser session.

Offline license activation

// troubleshooting

Common issues

License not accepted

Confirm the key is an NRYA key for Narya Command™. Regenerate or copy again from the download page. Check clock skew and HTTPS access to naryacommand.com.

Air-gapped or locked-down network

Use the offline license flow: generate a signed file from activate-offline after entering your key on a connected machine, then import per your IT process.

ODBC or CygNet errors

Ensure the 64-bit CygNet ODBC driver matches your CygNet version and that DSNs or connection strings work outside Narya Command™ first.

Validation timeouts

Allow outbound HTTPS to naryacommand.com from this workstation. Corporate proxies may need an exception for the license endpoint.
